Condolences

I'm sorry to hear about your mother, Sarah. She had to be an amazing mom to raise someone as compassionate, humorous, and dedicated as you. Sending prayers for comfort.

Mrs. Rietz was the best. She was my 5th grade teacher at Orchard Hill in Cedar Falls. She was a great teacher. She could be hard when needed and tons of fun and loving the rest of the time. I remember meeting Roger when he would stop to see her at school. In my adult life, they became my friends. They were a great couple and it is comforting to know they are once again back together. Absolutely two wonderful people!!

Joan was a very sweet kind lady! I am very blessed to have been a caregiver to her! Joan will be missed so much! She gave me the best hugs and always told me to be a good girl!! 💜

Condolences to the family of this great couple. Already missing them. So many fine memories of them: Sharing a meal at Village Inne, visiting on our deck or their patio and the notorious motorcycle rides with Roger. We always made it home. Now they have gone to their heavenly home. Gone but not forgotten.

Joan was that older sister I never had. I remember her teaching Butch and I how to "fast dance" about the time we entered high school. I was fortunate to spend a lot of time with Joan and her brothers while growing up and even visited them when they were still going to the country school just up the road.

I have truly missed seeing your Mom the last 2 years. I absolutely loved when she was in my chair at the beauty shop! She was so full of knowledge if I ever had a question about sewing or genealogy she would always have the answer. It was my honor to come and make her beautiful one last time. My condolences to you and your family
