John R. Martin, 73, passed away November 8, 1993, at the Westview Care Center in Britt, Iowa.
John, the son of Robert and Laura (Thompson) Martin, was born November 9, 1919, in Britt, Iowa. He received his education in the public schools.
John was engaged in farming with his parents northwest of Britt, until his retirement in 1977.
John was a member of the Britt Congregational United Church of Christ.
He is survived by three sisters: Isabel and her husband, Gail Parker of Britt, Iowa, Eleanor Lynn Martin of Des Moines, Iowa, Anna Lou Martin of Seattle, Washington; two brothers: Rodger and his wife, Doris Martin of Osage, Iowa; Ralph Martin of Rockford, Iowa; two nieces and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, James on November 10, 1987.
