Obituary


Joseph V. Nedved, 96, passed away Thursday, August 22, 1991 at the Florida Medical Center in Lauderdale Lakes, Florida.

Joseph, the son of Joseph C. and Anna Hoydar Nedved was born March 22, 1895 at Duncan, Iowa.  He grew up on a farm near Duncan.

On July 7, 1921 he was united in marriage with Hazel E. Messelheiser at Crystal Lake.  The couple resided in the Britt area until 1928 when they moved to Omaha, Nebraska and Joseph entered Federal service.  In 1947 they moved to Royal Oak, Michigan, where they lived until retirement in 1965.  The couple then made their home in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Jospeh was a World War I veteran, a Master Mason, a member of the Shrine Club and a member of the Order of Eastern Star Narcissuss #269 in Omaha.

Survivors include one daughter, Arlene Crandall of Mt. Prospect, Illinois; one son, Marvin E. Nedved of Plainville, Kansas; three grandchildren and five great-granchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Hazel who passed away in March of 1984 and a son, Leon who passed away in 1936.
