Kasper Ben Lamfers, 75, passed away Tuesday, January 15, 1991 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Mason City, Iowa.
Kasper, the son of Ben and Anna (Hiller) Lamfers, was born March 23, 1915 in Wright County near Klemme, Iowa where he received his education in the rural schools.
On September 12, 1944 he was united in marriage with Grace Harms at Kanawha, Iowa. Kasper had worked as a farm-hand for many years, later farming for himself. He retired in 1981 after having been a life-time farmer.
Kasper enjoyed fishing and reading.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.
Survivors include his wife, Grace Lamfers of Kanawha, Iowa; two sons and two daughters: Jerry Lamfers and his wife, Joan of Britt, Iowa; Kenny Lamfters of Kanawha, Iowa; Darlene Benson of Mammoth Lakes, California; Linda Kluender of Mason City, Iowa; seven grandchildren; three brothers: Marion of Belmond, Iowa; Bennie of Kanawha, Iowa; Oafae of Sadie Dirks of Grundy Center, Iowa; Jennie Crenshaw of California; Gertie Paulson of Garner, Iowa; Frieda Mehus of Austin, Minnesota; Carie Bueseman of Mason City, Iowa.
