Linda Beatrice Tweed, daughter of Almer and June (Thompson) Tweed, was born on August 20, 1949 at Forest City, Iowa. Linda loved growing up on the family farm in rural Joice with her parents and two older sisters. She started school in Fertile, graduated from Forest City High School and went on to college.

On September 11, 1967, she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior. Her faith and her time at college enabled her to pursue her passion for teaching. This took her on an adventure which included teaching at Christian schools in Florida, Idaho and Minnesota. Throughout the years, she poured her life into educating the students she loved so dearly. Along with that, she spent hours and hours preparing and directing Christmas and other various programs with the children. In 2017, she retired from teaching after spending the last 29 years at Victory Christian Academy in Rochester, Minnesota.

Linda loved flowers and gardening and really enjoyed being outside. She also delighted in sharing the produce from her beautiful garden and the goodies and desserts she made. Helping people brought her much joy. Her compassion and thoughtfulness made her ready to drop what she was doing any time someone needed encouragement, a helping hand, a ride to a doctor’s appointment, or just a timely chat. When Linda was around, there was usually laughter. She loved to have fun! Her contagious laugh will be greatly missed.

During her retirement in Britt, Iowa, she kept right on serving. She was so willing to help whether it was at church or doing whatever her family and friends needed. Linda was deeply loved and appreciated by many.

She was preceded in death by her parents Almer and June Tweed, sister Beverly McNeese and brother-in-law Bruce Murray.

Linda is survived by her sister Marlys Murray, brother-in-law Gale McNeese, her much loved nieces and nephews; grand-nieces and nephews, great-grand-nieces and nephews, numerous cousins and many friends.

Linda will be missed immensely, yet we rejoice that she is with Jesus and no longer suffering.
