Memories

Miss Tweed was a real encouragement to our family. She always offered praise and support at each turn in my kids' christian education. The times my children were ill and even in the hospital she always sought us out and let us know she was praying and thinking of us. I have enjoyed keeping in touch with Miss Tweed through messenger and will miss our conversations about life, the Lord and politics in general....I am so blessed to know she is in the arms of her Savior, at rest and in peace. She fought a good fight and she finished her course. We will see you again soon Miss Tweed!

We send our sympathy to the family of Linda. She was such a friendly Christian lady and a good teacher at our church school. She will be missed by all who knew her here.

We became acquainted with Linda when she came to Victory Christian Academy. Over the years, Linda became one of our closest friends, and a great example of a follower of Jesus Christ. She taught each of our three son's in 3rd and 4th grades. She was a loving teacher who "ruled with a velvet hand". While being a strict disciplinarian in the classroom, she absolutely adored her students and did everything she could to see that they succeeded not only in the classroom, but in life. Just one example of this is that one of our children was struggling to keep up in a particular class and she offered, and then followed through, with staying an extra half hour after school to give him some intense instruction, and not once asking for additional compensation. There are many other instances of her unselfish giving of her time and talents. She had a great sense of humor, and could take it as well as give it back. She always defended her home state of Iowa against relentless attacks. Linda, you will be sorely missed, especially around our bonfires and New Years Eve! Our lives are forever changed for the better by knowing you. You were instrumental in our children's lives and ours as well. However, we know that you are now discovering the true depths of our God and celebrating our Lord's grace. We look forward to the time when we can share that with you.
