Obituary
Louise Clare Hansmeier, 87, passed away Tuesday, November 14, 1995 at the Westview Care Center in Britt, Iowa.
Louise was born November 21, 1907 at Neidlingen, Germany the daughter of August and Sophie (Christiane) Pfluger. At the age of 16 she moved to Crystal Lake and worked for the Rouss Family. She was united in marriage with Harry Hansmeier on February 27, 1932 in Wesley, Iowa. The couple farmed north of Crystal Lake. Following Harry's death, Louise continued to live at the farm until entering Westview Care Center in the summer of 1995. Louise loved flowers and collecting stones. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Crystal Lake.
Louise is survived by three daughters: Viola Pottroff and her husband, Clifford of Jefferson, Iowa; Evelyn Gold and her husband, Ronald of Norwalk, Iowa; Mary Ree and her husband, JOhn of Burt, Iowa; one son, Vernon of Forest City, Iowa; twelve grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Christiana (Nana) Bauer of Wendlingen, Germany.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother, two sisters and one great-grandchild.
