Obituary
Robert Filbrandt, 81, of Thompson, formerly of Dows, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2022 at MercyOne North Iowa in Mason City.
Memorial services will be held at 2:30 PM on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at First Lutheran Church, 206 West Ellsworth Street in Dows with Pastor Laurel Meester officiating. Burial will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Dows.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.
Bob was born on June 23rd, 1941. Following High School, Bob enlisted in the Army in 1959. When he returned he worked at L&H Chevrolet in Dows, then for Iowa DOT for many years, and ended his work with Dows Community School District. Bob was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed countless hunting trips, bow and arrow hunting, fishing, and camping in Spirit Lake. He is survived by his sons, Rodney (Stephanie) Filbrandt of Story City, and Randy Filbrandt of Thompson; granddaughter Macy Filbrandt along with nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Bonnie, brother Kenneth, and daughter in law, Teresa.
