Russell A. Wendel

To the Wendel family, I knew Russ through the state Knights of Columbus and always appreciated his positive attitude and helpful nature. Please know of my prayers for Russ and for your family at this difficult time.

Cathy, I am uplifting you and your family in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Russ and I were history majors at William Penn University back in the day when we carpooled together to classes from Ottumwa. We often joked that we were members of the Royal Order of Porter in honor of David Porter the chair of the history department. I have fond memories of Russ, his humor, and his intellect. He was a good friend and I will miss him. It was a pleasure and an honor to know him. May you sense the comfort of God, family, and friends, and may you treasure the many loving memories you both made together.

We were neighbors with Russ and Cathy for a few years. Russ was such a wonderful man, friend and neighbor. We always enjoyed our visits outside and him playing with our boys. Cathy, you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. Please know we are here for you. We miss and love you guys very much 🙏❤🙏
