Obituary
Wendy Lee Wilson, 53, of Britt, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2005, at her residence in Britt.
Wendy, the daughter of Arnold E. and Adelaide Helen (Harms) Wilson, was born October 10, 1951, in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota. As a young girl, she moved with her family to South Dakota where she spent most of her childhood.
Following graduation from Melvin High School in 1969, Wendy attended NCC in Sheldon for secretarial training. She was then employed in the accounting department of Wilson Library at the University of Minnesota for sixteen years. In 1994, Wendy moved to Britt where she was employed as secretary and receptionist for Oleo Acres Kennels in Britt.
Wendy enjoyed fishing, bowling, word games, crafting and arranging silk flowers. She loved to bake and was an excellent cook. Wendy especially enjoyed playing bingo whenever she had the chance.
Wendy was active in Civil War Reenactments and was a member of the 20th Texas Dismounted Cavalry.
Wendy is survived by one son Gregory Wilson of Bloomington, Minnesota; five siblings: Patti Noethe and John of Britt, Jan Pennings and Ivan of Sheldon, Daniel Gibbons and Mary of Sanborn, Barbara Nilles and Ken of Sanborn, and Joel Gibbons and Linda of Sanborn, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, infant sister Linda Kay and two nieces.
